Johnathan Brown was born on January 3rd, 2000 in Fayetteville, NC. He was raised by his mother, his father, and his great-grandma.

His love for music was founded and nurtured in John Wesley United Methodist and RRCS. Johnathan was a member of the 2 choirs, the dance team, and the drama department at JWUMC. He was also in multiple choirs at RRCS.

Growing up Johnathan had always watched Youtube Entertainers like Ray William Johnson, Epic Rap Battles of History, and various gaming channels. He had a dream of being an entertainer at a young age. He decided to make a Youtube Channel and go by the name PurpleMonkey along with his best friend Gabe who went by DerpDog ( Later changed it to UsperGamez, then to GabruisPrime). They never started uploading videos but Johnathan ended up keeping his name for future use and Gabe started to focus more on his artwork. The name evolved from GamingPurpleMonkey to PurpleMonkeyGaming. He didn't do anything with it until he started his music career in 2018 during his senior year. He then changed the name from PurpleMonkeyGaming to PurpleMonkeyEntertainment or PME for short.

Since 2018, he has been on a roll releasing various albums and multiple singles. Johnathan is enjoying his musical journey as it may be a slow one it will also be memorable and fun.
